Elenzululwazi Programme:
Starting in 1992 with seven exhibits gathered together in one week, we have developed a collection of over 100 interactive exhibits. Throughout the country, we have created interactive science exhibitions in community venues: schools, shopping centres, town halls and libraries. We have focused on the place of science (Elenzululwazi) in people's lives, by creating places of science. The exhibits designed with curriculum needs in mind. Our exhibitions are fully curated with instructional and educational material and when possible we provide trained facilitators.

DiscoveryMobile:
When this mobile was launched in November 1998, it was the only one of its kind in South Africa. The DiscoveryMobile is a mobile, experiential science exhibition, combating the idea that science and engineering are careers beyond the reach of most disadvantaged learners. We used this programme to acquire particular skills in developing mobile education units, their construction, engineering and deployment. Under our initiative a special interest group, dedicated to mobile units was established by the South African Association of Science and Technology Centres.

ISETT-Mobile
Due to the success of the DiscoveryMobile, we proposed the project and were tasked, as sole Project Managers, to develop the completed ISETT-Mobile project - from vehicle to educational programme. This included *exhibits design and construction * the website * the careers guide and supporting literature *exhibit documentation and educational literature *software design and selection. The ISETT-Mobile was launched in September 2002.

Partners in Supporting Science, Maths and Technology (PSST!)
Learning from our 10-year experience we initiated a consortium of Service Providers with shared objectives, strengths and vulnerabilities. The PSST! Partners together with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) provide a collective intervention lasting 10 months, to a selected cluster of schools. The Partners, by focussing on S&T careers, local training and employment, promote the idea that Maths and Science are the keys to a productive future. We were elected to provide the Secretariat services for this Partnership.

AMANE Computyper
The AMANE (isiXhosa meaning "four") Computyper designed by a South African for South Africans is a multifunctional Skills Development tool. It's features include a typing tutor, arithmetic practices and a mini-network for chatting and messaging between the four stations. The AMANE Computyper is the first step to computing by enabling users to become keyboard literate. A four-sided device allowing four people at one time to teach themselves the employable and life-long skill of touch-typing in approximately 15 hours. Due to the lack of access to ICT's for most communities, these units have been deployed in many schools, tertiary institutions, community centres, prisons and public libraries.
